Accessibility Statement

Effective: December 2025

How the web app works

(1) Access: The web app can be used via a web browser.

(2) Registration and use: Users register with their email address. A paid subscription grants access to the full offering.

(3) Content structure: Content is organized into thematic courses (e.g., stress) and single sessions. Each course consists of several sessions (approx. 15-30 minutes).

(4) Multilingual support: The web app is available in German and English. The language is chosen based on browser settings and can be adjusted there.

Accessibility implementation

Aury aims to make mental health accessible to everyone. To support low-barrier usage, we follow WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) and relevant principles of EN ISO 9241 (in particular user-centered design and usability).

Measures already implemented (excerpt):

  • Keyboard accessibility (tab navigation) for key functionality.
  • Responsive design for different devices and screen sizes.
  • Support for browser and OS features such as zoom/magnification and system-level assistive tools.
  • Broad compatibility with common screen readers within the scope of web usage (dependent on browser/device).
  • Structured UI elements (e.g., clear page/section structure) to improve orientation.

Known limitations

We continuously work to improve accessibility. Currently, we are particularly aware of the following issue:

  • Contrast ratios: Parts of the onboarding may not yet consistently meet recommended minimum contrast ratios; this is prioritised for improvement.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We perform regular internal checks (including automated accessibility checks) and improve the web app based on user feedback and evolving best practices.
