3. Course-related Questions

How do I start a new session?
On the home screen, you can see the number of your sessions. Tap 'Start session' to begin a session.

How do I see where I am in the training?
A status display appears on the home screen, showing how many of 8 sessions you have already completed.

Can I take breaks without losing my progress?
Yes. You can leave a session at any time; your progress so far is automatically saved. For maximum benefit and effectiveness of the stress management training, it is recommended to complete each session - but if you have to leave early, Aury will continue the content in the next session where you left off.

How many sessions do I have to complete to finish the program?
At least six out of eight sessions must be completed within six weeks of starting the program. You have a total of eight sessions available. Micro-impulses do not count as sessions.

How do I get my certificate of participation?
As soon as you have reached the required usage intensity (at least 6 out of 8 sessions within 6 weeks), your participation will be automatically checked and the certificate of participation will be created. You will receive it by email; additionally, it can – if available in the web app – be viewed in the 'Profile/Certificate of Participation' area.

5. Content-related Questions

What is the health benefit for me?
Note on evidence of effectiveness: The health benefit of this digital prevention offer is currently being evaluated in a scientific study with several measurement points. The formal proof of effectiveness (evidence of health benefit) according to the requirements of the Central Prevention Testing Office (ZPP) is not yet finally available.

The program 'Digital Stress Management with Aury' aims to help participants better understand their individual experience of stress and learn effective strategies for coping with stress. Regular participation can promote the following skills, among others: becoming more aware of and classifying stressful thoughts and stress reactions, identifying personal stressors and reflecting on how to deal with them, organizing recovery and rest periods in everyday life more purposefully, and strengthening one's own self-efficacy in dealing with stressful situations.

The content is based on recognized approaches to multimodal stress and resource management. The intended health benefit is to contribute in the long term to a more conscious approach to stress and to strengthen psychological well-being. Whether and to what extent these effects are achieved is currently being scientifically investigated.

No external health information is provided as part of the course itself. In special situations (e.g. in the case of acute stress), references to further support services may be provided. These are for orientation, are voluntary, and are not part of the prevention program.

What can I do if I feel overwhelmed or stressed?
First, do a short relaxation exercise, such as the imagination exercise from 'Leaves on the River'. Breathe in and out deeply and slowly and focus your attention on something in the here and now. What sounds do you hear? How does the ground feel under your feet? What do you smell? Just perceive the moment without judgment. Use your course 'Digital Stress Management with Aury' to find out how you can reduce stress and find more relaxation in everyday life. If symptoms persist, please contact medical or psychotherapeutic professionals. Aury does not replace therapy.

How do I reflect on my progress?
At the beginning of each session, Aury refers to the past few days and the content of the last session. After each session, Aury asks reflection questions to document your experiences. This is intended to help you integrate what you have learned into everyday life and practice continuously. The home screen also shows you how many sessions you have already completed.

How do I integrate the exercises into my everyday life?
Set small, achievable micro-goals (e.g. two minutes of breathing exercise daily). Use the reminder function and micro-impulses to be regularly reminded of the exercises (you must allow this once during onboarding). Try to gradually apply the strategies learned in the sessions in everyday life and integrate them into existing habits. Keep at it, even if it's sometimes difficult. But also be patient with yourself - real change takes time.

What should I do if I do not understand a session or have difficulties with the exercises?
Read the session again slowly and use the summarized learning points. Ask Aury directly. Some questions are answered in the 'Technical Questions' or 'Course-related Questions' sections of this manual. If there are still uncertainties, write an email to support@aury.co.
